Womens – The Legends Among us

      As India is also an integral part of United Nations, it has been celebrating International Women’s day since 1975, when the first date was declared by UNO. But, we need to ask ourselves if we are celebrating this day without understanding the actual significance of it? If yes, let me bring in some facts which can signify this event in one’s life.

     A humorous approach which most men’s carry is that, they are superior in all aspects of life than a woman. Are you one among them?  Are you still neglecting the fact that woman are equal to man? If your perception is still that way, then you are still in the dark. Come out of that gloom as I take you through top 3 legendary Indian personalities with their achievements. Note the fact that they are not men!

Kalpana Chawla :

The Legends Among Us    She was the first Indian lady to cross the sky. She achieved this milestone in the year 1997, as she stepped into the space. It was a moment of pride for her and Indians. As her career continued, she went into the space for one more mission of NASA in the year 2003 and while returning back she met a disaster as the space shuttle which was carrying her shattered  into pieces in Texas. Though she is not with us anymore, she will always be remembered for her talent and accomplishments.

Neerja Banot :

The Legends Among Us

To have courage for saving several lives only you need to be human, this is what was proved by Neerja Bhanot. September 5th 1986, the Pan Am 73 was hijacked, where she was the flight attendant. She showed her bravery by rescuing 39 American passengers, finally sacrificing her own life.

I want you to guess the final legendary which I want to highlight here in this post. Need some hints? I shall give it.

Yes, you got it right, it’s your Mother. Just have a glance of your life and see struggle which she made up in her life, only to bring you up, only to see you successful.
